From July 17th to 20th the Baltic Rally Festifal days in Vyborg will be filled with an excitement of new discoveries! We've prepared some new thrilling excursions around the medieval city.
Vyborg - is the only Western Europian medieval city in Russia with a functioning castle, the centre of "Russian Finland", especially beloved by Peterburgers at the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries.Taking walks along its narrow streets, looking at the preserved fragments of fortifications (Vyborg's Castle, Round tower, Bastion Panzerlax), admiring the monuments of the northern Art Nouveau and parks, you will easily feel like an inhabitant of the legendary Middle Ages and most likely fall in love with this cozy green city!

KNIGHT'S VYBORG
With a tour guide you will walk along medieval streets and get imbued with the atmosphere of this era. An interactive exhibition of armor and and costumes awaits you in the Knight's House. Medieval clothing will be available to try on to fully feel like a resident of that era. And, of course, you can take some memorable pictures.

After meeting at the Market Square we will go on a real adventure through space and time. In retrospect, from the Finnish Art Nouveau architecture of the early 20th century, we will walk along the cascade of squares of the Russian Vyborg of the 18th century to the very heart of the Middle Ages.
On the territory of the city development there are preserved buildings of the 15th-16th centuries, which are included in the old city plan. We will be able to walk through the whole of medieval Vyborg, soak up the atmosphere of the old city, and meet the characters of its history.

A beautiful route along the Monrepos Park, then along the Saimaa Canal to a historical site - the old Lavola lock, which is about 200 years old!
This route is longer than the first, which means that you will have the opportunity to see more beauty, both natural and man-made.

The first and only permanent exhibition of its kind, "Vyborg Space".
In 1961, Yuri Gagarin visited Vyborg. The collection of the representative of the International Union of Journalists and space archivist Vladimir Ivanovich Bernikov is presented to the attention of Vyborg residents and city guests, namely: the largest collection of rare books about space and cosmonauts in Russia with autographs of Soviet and foreign astronauts, space food, badges, stamps, numismatics, briefings and thematic stands.
